Larena has been tutoring English and Maths (KS 1-3) – including exam and interview technique and preparation - at The Fulham Study for 3 years and she fully understands the importance of inspirational teaching.
She is passionate about working with young people and is studying towards a clinical doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at University of Oxford and The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust here in London. She has also worked in a trainee therapist/mentor role at Bradfield College, Reading. Larena attended Headington School, Oxford, so she is particularly aware of the process of applying for highly competitive secondary school places and all that this entails. Larena has a very hands on and inclusive approach, working with whatever level the child is at and giving them guidance and help on problem areas they need to move forward, whether this be for exam preparation, improving English speaking , reading comprehension skills, specific learning difficulties or simply that the child wants to and/or is capable of working to a more advanced level.
Larena comes from a family of teachers and she feels very strongly about the importance of providing children with a first-class education at all levels. She was appointed as a partner of The Fulham Study in 2015 and is a highly valued member of our team.
